About Us

Two women teaching a group of kiddos how to give speeches and enjoy doing it.

  1. Kids love to talk — teach them how to do it well!
  2. They’ll rock school reports and elegantly thank their awesome mom at graduation!
  3. Our parent group says the kid love it! Go figure!
  4. A few summers ago, Sarah said to Sharon, “I really want to start a public speaking club for kids” and Sharon replied “Let’s do it!” We used the Youth Toastmasters Program for one session, then we branched out on our own. We have lots of new ideas and activities to keep kids active and having fun with it.

Sarah

A tried and true home school mom of three boys, Sarah GETS that it’s not always easy to convince her boys to do things that are good for them! Sarah is a Physical Therapist on a career break and a dormant videographer. She teaches fitness classes at a local gym and organizes activities for the Green Mountain Area Homeschoolers, including winning an award from The Jane Goodall Institute for their Roots & Shoots Program. The group has also won Lakewood’s Defender of the Planet Sustainability Award for the 4th year in a row!

Sharon

Sharon is an accomplished Toastmaster member and coach. (She has earned the ACS and ALB awards for those in the know.) Her son recently entered the teen years and he eludes public speaking by practicing basketball on our speech nights! Still, she’s here to guide you and answer your questions. Sharon works in the world of Corporate Training and Organizational Development and loves providing feedback as a coach to individuals and teams. For fun she likes to hike, bike, and play in the great outdoors!
